There are quite a few different styles of boudoir photography. Boudoir photography is actually a niche within portrait photography. Some of the types of boudoir photography are but not limited to:
Who can have them done?
In my business I start off with the legal aspect and that is any woman of legal age. But anyone can do them! You don't have to be a certain size, shape, or color. You can be doing them for yourself, a gift for your significant others birthday, a Christmas gift, Valentines Day gift, or most commonly a brides gift to her groom.
What if I think I'm too shy?
It's completely normal to feel shy! At the beginning we start off with simple mostly covered shots. I talk to you throughout the session to help calm your nerves. We can even take small breaks just to chat and help with the nerves. I usually have music playing or the TV on just to add some noise so you don't feel like you're on the spot. All the girls I have worked with have left saying how comfortable they felt shortly after we began. If drinking a glass of wine will help you feel free, but I am not liable if something happens after you leave. So make sure you know your limit!
Are the images retouched?
I do retouch images. I will find out from you before I do this how extensive you want me to go. For example if you want all stretch marks removed, I will do that. I try not to edit every out because I want to keep the images of you to look like YOU! But as I said I will remove what you request.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes! If it makes you feel more comfortable then definitely bring a friend!
Will you photograph me nude ?
If you request it, yes. More than likely you won't know if you want to until you have started your shoot and know what your comfort level is.
What about hair and makeup?
I do have a few girls that I use for hair and makeup and there have been times when none of them are available. I get with them when you book your session to see if they are available so I get with them asap. If you know someone who does hair and makeup that would want to come to the location of your shoot and do your hair and makeup they are more than welcome to do that. If you would like to get all that done before you come that is perfectly fine too!
Can we meet before the shoot to help me feel more comfortable or just to discuss everything?
Absolutely! I will talk you through everything and any additional questions you have prior to the shoot via email, messaging, and text. If you would like to meet me in person before we can set that up.
How long does it take you to edit a session? What if I'm in a hurry to get the photos back?
Typically it will take 4-6 weeks. However, if you are in a hurry let me know and if my schedule permits it then I will expedite the process a little. I do offer a $125 rush option, which ensure your full gallery to be finished in 1-2 weeks. We can always talk about this further.
I want to do a fun session for a Bachelorette Party. Do you offer any Girl-Party options?
